Uniforms

Updated July 2026

School uniforms will not be required this school year. However, Marshall Elementary will enforce the following dress code in alignment with the TPS dress code policy. 

Tops

• Any color - can have appropriate writing or design
• Should not display profanity, alcohol, marijuana, or any other inappropriate logo
• Hoodies/sweatshirts may be worn, no hoods on heads

Pants/Shorts/Skirts/Jumpers

• Jeans are allowed
• Uniform bottoms are allowed
• Shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers should be close to finger length on the side of the leg

Shoes

• Solid back and covered toes

Students MAY NOT wear (in class/hallways)

• Hoods covering heads (from hoodies, coats, etc.)
• Outerwear
• Oversized jackets or clothing
• Clothing that is see-through
• Flip flops, sandals, slides, heels
• Spaghetti straps, halter tops, strapless tops or dresses
• Costumes (unless special school spirit day)
• Ripped, stained, soiled clothing or clothing which is too tight or revealing
• Anything prohibited by Tulsa Public Schools dress code

Students out of dress code

• If a student comes to school out of dress code, the parent/guardian will be contacted to bring clothing to school in alignment with the dress code.
• If a parent can not be reached, the student will be provided a uniform to wear for the day (if there is one available).
• Multiple infractions of being out of dress code could result in disciplinary action.

Clothing needs

• If your family needs support with clothing, please reach out to our school counselor, Mr. Hill.
• If you are in need of support with your child’s laundry, please reach out to Mr. Hill.
• The Tulsa Public Schools Parent Resource Center offers additional support to our families.

Care Counts Laundry Program

Marshall Elementary hosts the Care Counts laundry program. If you are in need of assistance with your student’s laundry during the school year, even for a short period of time, please reach out to Mr. Hill.
